HELP, leaking GSR!!!
Ive noticed every time it rains, i get alot of water in my hatch area. I cant find where this is coming from. Its coming from somewhere on the left. If anyone else has this same problem let me know!! Also, how to fix it!!
Specifically, what B18C-EJ1 is referring to is the tail light gaskets. They are these rubbery foam gaskets that fit in between the light and the sheet metal of the car. They flatten out or dry out and crack over time. I had the same problem, and replacing the gaskets fixed it. They are easy to replace, but not cheap (especially considering it is just a freakin' piece of foam with holes cut out in certain places). I ordered mine from AH and I think they were like $12 or maybe $17 each. A resourceful lad (or lass) could probably make thier own, using the worn out one as a template.

>>Thanx for the speedy responses
That's why we're here !
You may want to check your local dealer before you call AH (if you were even planning to call AH). Sometimes dealerships have gaskets and seals cheaper than AH- and the big benefit in your case it you can have them purchased and in the car in an 45 minutes !

Yeah, a buddy of mine works in parts at an acura dealership, its da bomb!! Got em in already, it just rained, NO WATER!!! woo hoo!!
Glad to hear it worked out.
It's nice that you got a deal on them too, because they are really such a rip off otherwise. But hey, it's worth it to not have a leaky car. I have an amplifier in my trunk well, next to the spare. It almost got drowned until I figured out the problem and got the new gaskets.
This should go into the archives !
