I need serious TRANSMISSION HELP!!!! ASAP!!!!
Alrighty, I went and tried to drain my transmission today on my 91 CIVIC DX Hatch. I noticed that both the drain and fill plugs were rusted. I sprayed some liquid wrench on them and got some of the rust off. I went and drained the fluid from the transmission and when I went to open the fill plug on the transmission, I noticed that either the previous owner or someone who worked on the car before I bought it, completely f**ked up the plug. I mean this thing is stripped so bad it's hardly even recognizable as a bolt. I tried everything, I couldn't get sockets around it because of the cross member and axle components in the way, I couldn't get the 17mm wrench to stay on it because it was so rounded it wasn't even round, more like ovaled. I tried vice grips and a hammer to try getting it to turn. This baby must have definitely been crossthreaded into the transmission housing.
IS THERE ANYWAY TO GET IT OUT WITHOUT HAVING TO REMOVE THE TRANSMISSION??? OR WITHOUT DRILLING???
IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO FILL THE TRANSMISSION?? Like, can i force fluid through the drain plug? ( well, that probably won't work a damn bit!)
Here is a picture of the speedometer gear housing in a transmission.
Is it possible to use this to fill the transmission with fluid???? Inside these housings there are grooves that look like grease or oil lubrication holes for lubing the speedo's gears. Is this at all a possibility?!?!?!?! This is not a picture of my transmission... just a picture I had from a long time ago.

I dont know if you have access to this but if you can get a A/C freon bottle,Nitrous bottle or something like that is really cold like that, spray it on that bolt to freeze it and then try to get it out with a good pair of vise grips .I use this trick once using 134A freon to get a stuck drain plug out of my gas tank sump.If this dont work your gonna have to drill a hole in the center of it and use something called an easyout which is like a tapered drill bit you put in the hole you just drilled and as you turn it,it grips the bolt and turns it.
