Default drag strip results

well, i know this is not type r related (or honda related) but i just had to post. i still play on h-t more than any other site. a month ago i sold my blk y2k r and bought a 93 rx7. well it just wasn't running the way i thought it should, so i replaced all the vacuum lines and coolant hoses, runs perfect now (vacuum leak). anyways, to make a long story short, there was a race in rockingham nc this weekend, and i wanted to see what the car would do completely BONE STOCK. FIRST AND ONLY RUN, 13.86 @ 101.86.

Normally I'd be thrilled, but I'm pissed off at all the RX-7's in the world right now.

Nice time for a stock rotary! RX-7s are the one car on the street I respect especially if they have mods.

Sure it will not be long. Better get a vented hood.

The RX7 is a nice car but don't compare the reliability of the RX7 with the DC2 .... far from it. And what about the gas mileage? Rotary engines are really thirsty, I doubt if it gives more than 15 M/P/G.

Thats pretty bad for a RWD car.....

thanks to those with the words of support.
yea it was my first and only run, on michelin 225-50 xgt h4's
i did not let out any air, stock pressures.
my friend that changed all the vacuum lines and coolant hoses said it felt the strongest of any stock 7's he has worked on.

REACTION TIME DOES NOT DO ANYTHING TOWARDS ET......that's what all the ricers think....that's why all run 13's and 14's cause they are at the light for 2 seconds then they go and they subtract that 2 second from et thinking they really run faster!

they are definately a pain in the ***, most of them are under the intake manifold. i replaced them w/ silicone hoses hopefully those will resist the heat better and last longer.
yeah, i know the tires are ****, but they sure make the *** end come out easily. CAN YOU SAY FUN?
