My father bought a 03 wrx a while ago and he olny has one complaint about it, the road noise.

He says that most of the noise is coming from the wheelwells and trunk areas. The truck is easy to dynomat but what do I do about the Wheelwell noise?

I went to a local installer and they said they didnt know what they could do for the wheelwell noise and flat out refused to dynomat the firewall.

Any ideas?

 

i talked to a guy the other day that sprayed bedliner in his wheel wells and he said it muffled the sound a little bit. but i would strip the interior out (pretty simple, i did it in my buddies 03 wrx) and spray the wheel wells with sound deadining material. do a search in the archives and you will find some useful info to help you out.

 

sorry I forgot to say that the noise is from the front wheelwells not the back.

I think I will try that bedliner stuff on the front wheelwells and see how that turns out.
