stupid question....how to tell the difference between intake and exhaust cams...
the intake cam is the one that has the large notched end on it correct??? or is that the exhaust cam???

yes the intake cam has the slot on the end to turn the rotor inside the distributor.......

"common sense" says your intake cam should be on the side of your engine that your intake manifold is on..........and your exahust cam should be on the side your exhaust manifold is on.

if they were in the engine he wouldn't have a problem....obviosly they're not

whip out the haynes, look that the picture of the engine with the valve cover off and compare the ones you have to the ones in the picture. I didn't assume he had them out of the engine.

silver i do know some people who would be stupid enough to need to ask the question. Obviously he doesn't live in NC
yeah i had them out...just seem to be losing my mind these days, schools kicking my ***...thanks fellas
