1st Gen B16A Swap in Automatic 90 Integra???
Me and a friend of mine swapped a first gen B16A into his 90 Integra, which we also converted to a standard. Well after converting it to a standard and swapping the motor. We started the car and it doesn't want to start and we noticed the timing belt was flopping around. So we decided to change the timing belt and noticed that the water pump gear was messed up, so we changed the water pump also. While I replaced the water pump I noticed some dirt and rust coming out of the water pump chamber, so i cleaned it up. After that we crank it up and it still won't start. We got fuel and spark. So what could it be wrong. Can it be the wiring? Cus we used the automatic engine harness. Can it be the motor or he did something wrong when he took off the timing belt? Which I wasn't there to double check on how he did it.
Oh another thing is he told me it started up before once, but that was before we did the timing belt and water pump. I check for the ecu to throw a code and no code. What can we do or check to see what can cause it not to start?
