i was wondering if i were to install a VAFC2 into my hatch, will i be able to pass smog even if i dont change a thing on the vafc. i just want to hook everything up but not mess with the vtec engagment or air/fuel. i am located in CALI with the strict laws and i am going to get the BAR sticker for my swap and need to know if i can have this hooked up. thanks alot for any help
Well, my experience at the state ref I just hide my vafc. Cuz you know you gotta pass visual inspection too. hehe. So just hide your vafc when you go state ref as for other smog places hmmm. I duno I hide it also too cuz I don't want them bastard to be touchin and messin around with my settings.

even if i dont mess with the fuel and vtec, will i fail visual inspection? can they tell that it is hooked up to the ecu by any of the tests that they do?
Well I've tuned plenty of VAFC. However I own a Fields controller. The Fields SFC-VTEC has an on off switch on the back. You turn the controller off and it runs off teh stock ECU and saves your settings. Turn it back on, back to original. I figured an AFC being newer and more advanced would have a similar function.
