how tight do i tighten tail light bolts
hey all my tail lights are leaking so i'm replacing the gaskets. and i was wondering how do i know when there tight enough. is there a torque spec? i doubt it. i just don't want the **** to leak again (pardon my french). any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
thanks
yeah but how tight is too tight that's what i'm asking. i think i can figure out how to remove a tail light, if i can do a mini me swap
lol that's funny. did you ever think that maybe i don't want to have to tighten them again if there not tight the first time i do it. you can't just crank down a gasket there's suppose to be some leway that's what insures the seal. duh, i think if i can do a complete mini me swap by myself then i think i can do this. obviously some people cannot read and i can sympathize w. that but geeze it's a pretty straight foward question
by the way let me know when you blow yourself up from a spark when your frame hits the ground ignites your NOS so i can take your girlfriend from you. lol

don't worry about it i'll do it myself. i really don't want to offend anyone or **** anyone off but some of that stuff was pretty un called for. ohh well it's a laugh
If they are leaking into the housing the problem is not how much to tighten the bolts, that doesn't even matter. You have to reseal the outside of the lights using some sort of sealant. Try clear silicon. Works great...
