I just bought a 94 integra, with a prime ax-6 alarm/keyless entry installed. The alarm works properly, becase if i turn the key to the on position and flick the valet switch the alarm chirps, and if i arm the alarm then it automatically locks the car and activates the security system.

Only problem is, the system does not respond to the two button remote. I have tried the procedure for adding a new remote as stated in the instruction manual, it still does not respond. The battery is new for the remote.

The only thing i can think of, is the car had a factory alarm that was programmed through the stock head unit, and when the car's previous owner swapped in the panasonic one, the stock alarm decided to quit working

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
