Default 00' SiR need spacer for 15x7" Kosei K1?

I did a search and asked a few friends on mine. So far most of the friends that I know with Kosei K1 have the +45mm offset and they all have a SOHC powered Civic.

But what I heard is, my other friend's JDM EK4 Ferio didn't need spacer for his rear wheels. But I don't know if he shaved his upper arms/what kinda offset he had before?

U guys have any ideas if I need to use spacer on my 00' EM1 SiR while I have the 15x7" +45mm offset? I don't wanna use something thick so what is the minimum requirement?

TIA!

My friends overseas had the 15x7" +45mm offset on their SiR Sedan but they didn't need spacer.

Anyone had any experience?

factory Si rims are 15x6 .. but why do u need a spacer? because I'm sure they clear the caliper.. but does it rub? I've seen numerous ej htbks have 15x7 and no spacer but I think they ran 45+offset

Oh I think it rubs the upper control arm. My bro shaved his upper arm on his 99' hatch but I just don't want to do so.

+45 is set back pretty fat for a 7 inch wide rim. I know they fit on my 98 hatch but am not sure about your application. The stock honda wheel is 6 inches with the +45. Oops I made a mistake I think mine are +40.

15x7 slips are +40 I think sorry

you are running to high of an offset for the kosei K1 on a civic. going that wide you need to be no higher than at least 40 for sufficient clearance.

Correct.

I had the same exact K1 wheel installed on my 99 GSR without any rubbing issues in the rear (or front). When I tried installing it onto my 99 Civic Si, the rear upper control arm/link rubbed the edge of the rim.

You will encounter the same problem. Shave it, or switch it for a GSR piece.

This was a good thread with a good question. As for the answers...I can't say the same.
