Default Is this a good deal?

Hey guys I looked at a local type r here in socal (long beach) and I wanna ask you guys what you think. Its a 2001 black Type R with 48k miles. Its in MINT condition and everything works fine. I test drove it and its rock solid. Its bone stock except for a new shiftnob. Did a carfax on it and found absolutly no problems. 1 pervious owner who was like 65 years old and he traded it for a bmw 330. The type r is at a dealership and hes asking 20k. He wont sell it below 19k flat. So the asking price is 19k and I know its a little high, but its from a dealership and they always are a little higher than private sellers. So I wanna know what you guys think.

Thanks

get insurance on it before you buy it, the thing's gonna be gone soon so enjoy it while you can!

Well I live in Orange county (Irvine) but the dealership was in Long Beach. Either way its still socal so the possibility for theft is still very high. But the car is in excellent condition and after driving it, I'm very tempted to buy it

I wouldn't hesitate about buying it at all, in fact I'd jump at the opportunity to own a mint condition R. I'd put the factory shift **** back in, and build a wall around the car so that 25 years from now, I can sell it and retire.

I would jump on it. An unmolested R? Get it and molest it, but get an alarm and be careful. Cherish it like your first born.

Aight guys I'm looking forward to getting it. I wanna ask u guys what types of security systems I should get. I'm getting lo-jack for sure, but I wanna know what other good alarms and security systems are out there that actually work. Ive heard Clifford and Viper alarms are great, but I dont know too much detail on the specific models and what they do. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
