carbon ti is like 350-400 bucks for a muffler I mean YIKES. Get the titanium race muffler. I love the look off dull titanium.. which is why I got my veilside teadrop. Can't wait to get some piping for this bad boy.

that isnt too yikes.. if u check out the axle backs for tegs they start at like $670 retail for a super drager.. hehe..
my bf has a hiper drager on his b16a sounds awesome... and the old super drager i had awhile ago on my teg was nice nice(lived for 7 years)... hks has never let me down..
those are 3 very difficult decisions... i dunno if i'd get a universal muffler only because u'd have to find some muffler shop who may do a crap job on ur sweet hks canister.. i'd probably go with the carbon-ti canister in that i dont see em too often on the streets...

1.HKS Hi-power </TD></TR></TABLE>
The Hi-Power or "Hiper" exhaust as it is known in the U.S. have a 55mm diametre piping. Which is smaller than OEM Type R.
I had one, it sounded good. But I don't think i'd buy another.

I am glad that someone else knows the piping on this exhaust smaller than a Stock ITR cat back system.

if u noticed on the hks site none of these "exhaust systems" are listed for the type r.. the ones listed for 55mm piping are for non-type r's... now the universal canisters are made in the 60, 70 or 75mm piping diameter sizes..

If they did have a Type R "specific" model, it would probably be the same system offered for the non-Vtec models (LS,GS,RS).
And considering how a 2.0 litre S2000 exhaust is 60mm, I doubt a Type R exhaust would be any bigger than 55mm.

lol im glad that you are able to notice , The HKS brings over all a 120mm on the 1. 2. options of tip and 75mm on diameter on piping . while the only difference on the option 3 is the 115mm tip but keeping the piping at 75mm diameter . I was told that they pretty much have the same performance overall , but wanted to here for some peeps that have had the experience with it. Overall HKS makes high quailty products , only have heard some bad things with the Carbon TI exhaust which the carbon attends to get burn or it has even fallen off
It would be for a FI application so 75mm is a must

I had the Hyper Ti universal mounted on mine, it was SUPER loud. I mean like car rattleing loud. Ditched it after about 6 months becuase it was too much for me. Dates that I would take in the car couldn't really talk or anything it was that loud. I do have to admit that it looked sweet and sounded good from outside the car, it was just too loud inside.
I have the Carbon/Ti universal muffler on mine. 75mm/120mm size. I
it to bits. I would not use any others. It depends if you like it loud or not. For me I love the noise as it is DEEP and does not sound raspy or tinny that is associated with some na mufflers. It is already quite loud with stock b pipe but now I have a custom 3" straight through turbo back bolted onto this muffler it is just mad loud but produces a deep rumble which I love.
Check my sig for a pic of it.
