Busted OEM Tach on my 5th Gen
so yea i busted the tach on my 5th gen...funny part was that this happened a week AFTER i took out my reverse indiglos
so now its just stuck at 6K
i tried putting it back to 0 but it would just shoot straight to 6K as soon as i would prime the fuel system
so my question is....
do i have to get a whole new gauge cluster or can i get a used gauge cluster and swap out the tachs???
reason is that i would like to trade my lude in soon(if its not sold by then)for a 04' model car
also...if i dont fix the tach and i traded in the lude just like that...would the dealer pretty much f%$@ me over and give me very little or next to nothing on the trade in???
TIA

Have you checked the tightness of the screws that mount the tach within the cluster? They are also the electrical connection to the printed circuit, and if one was loose it may cause this problem.
