i use it on my car.granted it's red-not black, but i paid $5K for the paint job,so obviously i'm very picky!my car has been wet-sanded and buffed,so it's very easy to scratch and i've never had any problems.i would only use it if the car had been washed recently and i just needed to remove surface dust.i WOULD NOT use it to remove any dirt stuck to the paint.basically,if it doesn't remove the dust from a light swipe across that paint, the car needs to be washed.if you start rubbing the dirt/dust in,of course it will scratch it.
i also used to be scared to use it,but my friends that has a full show car(with some of the best lookign paint i've EVER seen)uses it all the time and assured me it would be okay.he was right.

Right on, if it doesnt remove everything w/o you pressing down on the duster, get out a bucket and hose. I just let like 30% of the string still hang above the car so that no pressure other than the weight of the individual "strings" is put on the dirt. I have yet to scratch it at all with the duster.

Great product!!

My car is black

a few days after I wash it, dust is all over it. I use the car duster and it looks like its just been washed. (for the most part)

I love mine. If you dont have time to wash the car, it makes it look much better.
