Removing intake manifold gasket

Anyone have any tips to remove an intake manifold gasket that has been baked on? I'm using a gasket remover and an exacto knife. But there are still a lot of bits stuck all over it. Any way to speed this up?

die grinder with 3m scuff pad = 1 minute job and clean smooth surface.

Gunk remover and a box cuter (Be careful not to knick the surface)

If there are still tiny bits still stuck , use fine grit sandpaper

its a bitch, i usually use gasket remover and let it work for a while then start scraping, you're gonna have to do it a few times to get it all off.

guys can u put graphite on the gasket before u install it to keep it from sticking..

thats what we do on high heat steam flanges..

i want to try it on a gasket some time.

get some carb cleaner, that will break it down and make it easy to scrape off.

you may want to look into a fel-pro intake mani gasket, they don't stock to the surfaces so you can just reuse it.
