Today was a great day, started off by going to prelude meet with some friends in the South Bay at Dave & Busters, they gave the ITR the respect it deserves after I met up with one of my friends who's been braggin bout his new RSX-S, to make the long story short, i'm no longer stressed out about the RSX-S posing any threat at all, I drove it, beat it in a race 3 times... it's a nice car but feels like NO VTEC and the handling needs a lot of work. I like the steering wheel/interior esp looks good at night when it's lit up... nice quiet smooth ride(would like to see how the rsx type r does).
anyways, on my way home I see this twin turbo supra driving pretty agressive before we pull onto lake merced drive (**** that think accelerates fast), I pulled behind him because the car infront of me was driving to slow, so when i changed lanes to behind the supra to pass the slow car, the damn supra accelerates like a bat outta hell, I originally didn't wanna start **** with the car because i have so much respect for it but i thought wtf so i downshift into second and we're off... and by the fourth twisty on lake merced drive i pull on the car on the outside lane, coming out of the last turn i was a full car length ahead and flooring it.
needless to say soon after on the straight away after the twisty part he passed me pretty soon after he came outta the last turn, but i was happy & it reminded me why I got the ITR, he was pissed
i just wanted to ask him about the mods in his car and he wouldn't even look over seemed pretty pissed and wanted to race at the light after, I thought that was enough for a day and knew he'd kill me on the straight away so i called it a day. i think i would have been pissed as well maybe.
but damn that blow off valve sounds good...
anyways, the run in with the RSX-s and the Supra today was more than what I was looking for, and just when I was starting to lose faith in my car, i am saved, this car is a keeper, time to start saving up for FI

 

I had the chance to run a type S last week. I expected a better fight.Supras are sick.My old roomie had one that ran 11's.Those thing are beasts on the highway.

 

yeah, the I-Vtec was a big , I'd like to see how the car will react to mods in the future tho...

 

Good run! You should try going with the Supra on Brotherhood Way. The nice straight gradual incline would be interesting

no, it was twin turbo, and if the supra took the turn any faster he woulda wound up in the lake, don't get me wrong, i have a lot of respect for it, but maybe it was the driver... maybe supra's can't corner at the same speeds ITR's can
