About to order my Skunk2 stuff...do I have everything right?
This is what I am ordering for my H22, I just want to make sure that I have everything right and that I don't get the wrong parts:
Skunk2 Stage II camshafts
8 exhaust, high compression valves (stock size)
8 intake, high compression valves (stock size)
Skunk2 valve springs
Skunk2 retainers
Then I figure that I should get a nice header, bump the compression a bit through a couple methods, and then look into Hondata...but right now I am just ordering the Skunk2 stuff since I found a GREAT price on them, and I'll save some money and let them sit in my garage for a little.

I bet your gonna be disapointed with all the mods. It will be faster no doubt, but the dyno #'s probably wont be what your looking for. I have the exact set-up, and made just about what a stock h22 makes. It could be from the crazy **** I did to my intake. Dont get me wrong though the mods were worth it. Shifting @ 8500 is nice.
I think that you have something done wrong with the tuning or maybe it is your intake because everything that I have heard about the mods that I am doing is good.
Hell, people are saying that I should put down 200+ whp easy.

I dont give a f*ck what people say on here. Proof is "in the pudding" so to speak. When you get it on the dyno just dont be disapointed. My car is faster than before, and it needs to be retuned bad. I have just never had time to go back. I am sure there is some more HP to squeez out of it. All I'm saying is just dont expect 250whp with minmal mods, and when you DONT break 200whp then come back, and I'll say I told you so, or you can prove me wrong.
Either way.

Damn man, someone is a bit bitter...I think that 200+whp is more than attainable with the mods that I plan on. Plus, you have to look at other things besides just peak HP. I'm not looking for 250 whp here though, eventually, yes it would be nice, and this is a good start, but there is still a lot more to be done to get those kind of numbers.
Nevertheless, back to my question, do I have everything I need for the time being? Not everything I need for certain power numbers, I just want to know that if I order what I listed above that I will have everything needed from Skunk2...btw, I already have the cam gears.

Thats about all there is left. Besides the head gasket. Valve seals. Cams seals. Intake gasket. I would also buy new Lost Motion assemblies (might as well while the head is out). Then you need a good header. Higher compression would def. benefit you the most in this case.
sorry to tell you man but ol boy is right. you wont break 200whp with that. you will be much closer but still. just dont go ordering all of this and then be dissapointed with the dyno when it reads 1xx WHP.

OK...where do you get all that stuff?

You won't put 200 whp out with some cams and a thinner head gasket.
Whoever told you that is lying, or just doesn't know what they're talking about.
Valves and valve springs won't give you much (if any really) HP on their own. Sure swirl polishing and lighter weight makes some theoretical difference, but you'll never notice unless you go big time mods. Cams don't do that much on their own, they only help INTENSIFY other modifications. IF you toss in a set of radical N/A cams on stock, or near stock, compression, you won't get much out of them. If you raise your compression by more than a point or two, and THEN add some nice cams, NOW you have a motor that can take advantage of breathing.
Come to think of it.... read up on this a little:

it might give you a better understanding of how your mods will affect your car.

Yes, I've referred to that thread many a time (I have it bookmarked and it's good)...regardless, I said I was going to bump the compression a bit, I am looking into getting some Type S pistons within a couple weeks...then I'll get a thinner head gasket to help matters a little more.
The thing I am asking here is whether I am ordering all the parts that I need to run the cams...obviously I am.
