DOHC ZC troubles at high RPM

Default DOHC ZC troubles at high RPM

when around 6500+ RPM in gear its almost like im hitting a rev limiter then my check engine light flashes on and goes off immedatley after and the car runs fine, my ecu os throwing no codes.... any suggestions?

wat ecu you running? I had the same prob when I was running the stock si ecu then I went to the integra 88-89 ecu no probs and could bring it up to 7800

yeah if you have the pm6 ecu, thats the stock si one from the D16A6 and its fuel cut off is at 6500 rpm, the pm7 ecu is from the 88-89 integra if i'm not mistaken and its fuel cut is at 7200 which is what the zc can handle.

imusing the PM7, when i was using the pm6 ( si " i didnt have this problem.. I think my ecu might be going bad because if i touch it while the car is on it effects the idle ( the idle drops and catches itself )

the PM6 rev limit is 7200 (7414rpm to be exact, although 7200 is what most often shows on the tach). the Pg7 is slightly higher at around 7600.

PM6, PM7 & PG7 also have cold start fuel cut-off at about 1200rpm lower than normal cut-off - if the engine isn't up to full operating temperature, it will cut-off sooner.

i used the teg ecu witch cut off at 7200, but the jdm zc ecu redlines at 7500.....witch i though was right becaus it was still pulling really hard at 7200
