OK I want to drop a H22 or H23 (which ever i can find) into my 91 Honda Accord EX, I have heard that its a direct fit. My question is, are there any adjustments that need to be done to the car after its in? Should i reinforce the body of my car? Can my drive axle handle the extra torque and power? I am also converting it to manual, does anyone know how much this will cost and what needs to be done? Is there anything I should know before putting this new engine in my car? If anyone can answer these questions it would be very helpful. Thanks.

 

you will need the ecu and harness of course well there is a group buy on h22's 2k and labor should be no more than 1k

 

i hear that you have to keep checking your front engine mount because the h22 has alot more torque than the f22...

 

well thats why you would use a polyurethane front motor mount insert

 

I know in the 5th gen you have to 'shave' the prelude drivers side mount to fit in the accord. Otherwise u reuse the other mounts.
