I recently won a turbonetics T3/T4 on ebay. I got it for $288 the guy had no reserve. I was about to pay for it through paypal and I find a message from the guy telling me he's not going to selling to me for that much, he wants $550 for it. It actually went like this:

No, the bid was a contract. There was no reserve in place, so I don't know what your problem is. If you didn't want to sell it for that much you should have put a reserve on it.

There is no way anyone will pay 600 or even close to that for a used turbo. Now I guess your trying to back out, I take it. So I will have to leave you negative feed back. Yo man just to let you know $300-450 is about right for a used t3t4.

If the turbo is worth more than 550, he should've put a reserve. He should have to sell it for that amount because he didn't bother to set a reserve and now he should have to pay for his mistakes, but yeah, contact eBay.

 

Like you said yourself, that is a BINDING contract. Contact Ebay.

 

Contact ebay get his address, and take him to court. ~30 to file in small claims, and you do not need a lawyer. He is breaking a contract.

No offense to anyone but if he didnt put a reserve thats his own fault. I use ebay everyday and it happens to all of us. Everything I sell on ebay is no reserve and thats the risk you take. As long as you dont pay him he doesnt have to sell it he will just have to deal with the neg fedback if you want to leave it.

 

the problem with this,
is that if you leave a negative feedback, you'll get one in return.

if it REALLY REALLY pisses you off, MAAYYYBE ebay can get that negative deleted, because the guy has blatantly broken the contract,
and you have the emails to prove it.

but that'll take time, and ebay is huge so theres no garauntee you'll get that negative removed.

if I were you, i'd tell the guy that you wont leave him a negative if he doesnt leave you a negative, and leave it at that.

the focker will have to pay charges to ebay for his useless auction, so he will get hurt a little bit, hehe.

 

I would tell the guy not to leave negative feedback...


Then on the 89th day or however long... Leave him negative feedback.

Simple -- Have a trustworthy H-T'er who lives near this guy pick the turbo up for $280 and avoid the shipping charges all together. Problem solved.
