WTF? LS Rods are meant for a B18A block,,.. the pistons or the rods have to be shaved but the bore of the block is the same as any other b series

dude you talking about ls rods! which were made for b18a/b's from the factory so why the **** would u have to mess with the rod to fit in thier OEM set up?? pistons need to be shaved a lil to accepct the ls rods. there is your confirmation

The question is good you have to bring down the small end of the rod by .009 .
Half on each side ,then it will slide into the piston!

Dont listen to these guys, They will fit with no modification. Just take them to a machine shop and have them pressed. I have the p30's in my ls/vtec also. -pj

b16a and b17a pistons fit ls rods fine the small end of the b16a rods are even the same dimensions as the ls stuff. The gsr/itr/ctr stuff needs to be machined to fit. I've put alot of lsvtec together with b16a pistons.

hey awhile back when i did a LS-R conversion for my project the machinist had to machine down the small end of the rod to fit the First gen B16A piston. I told him it should fit and he brought the piston and the rod to show me...the rod wouldn't slide into the piston so the rods had to machined down to fit...
