Default b16a1 or ls?

I hate asking these kind of questions but i really need to know what im getting into.........i am thinking about buying an 89 civic for 500cdn. If i do this how much roughly would it cost to get an ls or b16a1 swap done? Labour included.
i jus want to have an idea before i go out and do this.

both of those swaps will be roughly in the same price range... if it was me i would go with the b16... cause even if you swap in another motor later on you still have a bunch of very good useable parts such as tranny, head, internals etc. etc... you could pick up a gsr block and swap all the b16 parts on and you would have one bad *****... and even though im not won on it you could pick up an ls block for next to nothing and have basically everything you need for a good lsvtec

I'd rather go ls. I can't stand the lack of torque ness.. and I plan on boosting anyway.. you can get an ls and we can trade.. or you can take my b16..

If you're going to leave it near stock and drive it all the time I think I would rather have the B16. I've been in both, obviously the B16 puts out more stock power plus having VTEC engage makes things interesting for daily driving. If you want torque out of the B16, boost, you'll have more torque than a C5 and massive amounts of horsepower.

I had to actually make this motor choice this week for a project and we ended up deciding on the B16 over a junkyard B18A1 just because it was going to be easier finding a nice cable trans if we bought the swap as a whole.
