Will I be fine with my ECU for a CRVtec?
I have in hand a p30. going with my b20 short block, b16 head. Will I be fine to run that ecu? or should I get it chipped for a better fuel map since it is a 2.0 instead of a 1.6? sorry if it's a stupid question
Chipped, always chipped, everybody chipped...
Hehehhe, It'll be pretty misadjusted for your application, vtec x-over will be totally innapropriate.
I don't hav any practical experience with running a larger displacment motor off of a smaller displacment ECU, but common wisdom would say it's going to get less fuel, and run lean.

you can use the p30 as long as its chipped with the 1.8 fuel maps, not one of those chips that just raise the rev limiter.
i use a p28 1.6 ecu chipped with b&m fuel pressure reg. set at 43psi on my b20.
stock fuel pressure was at 34psi on the p28. and i figure the p30 should be the same.

But if you up the fuel pressure, you are increasing the fuel deliverd to the engine, compensatig for the fact that the ECU was tuned to run a much smaller displacment engine...
