My drivers wheel locks up really bad, under braking...
I can be driving around and if i ever need to come to a stop quickly and i do not smash on my brakes, but i apply a generous amount of pressure, the front drivers wheels almost always wants to lock up, even if it is a stop that i have been able to do before without a problem.
I just installed my tein ha dampering kit a couple weeks ago, and then my front ingalls camber kit, before the camber kit it did not do this as bad. But now that the camber kit is on, it is awful. I know my alignment is off, could that be making my braking THAT bad? Just curious to see if any of you guys have any input.
Dunno if it matters for this situation, but i am running the 175/60?/13 wheels and tires, nothing performance oriented, just regular tires.
Thanks,
Matt

well the alignment could do it if one side(passengers was pretty close to correct) and the drivers side was quite a bit off. That would give you better traction with one side and less with the other, hence the lock up. But I am not sure on that, so yea, and get an alignment!
yep bad caliper is more then likly the case, replace it and the problem should go away, do it soon because my friend had a bad caliper and it made the pads drag intill the point where their was no more pad and the piston was rubbing on the rotor
has to be the calipers. I had the same problem . My right side would sieze up bad and not let go. got one from the junk yard and was rdy to go :D
i dont think that would be it(caliper), because i have had a locked caliper on my car before, actually 2 of them, it was awful. bad smell, rotors were new before i put them on too. so where the rotors, my damn brakes were smoking, my wheels burned my hands just to take them off, and good lord, it took forever to get the different calipers on as hot as everything was.

I just replaced the master cylinder about 1500 miles ago(new motor). And everything has been fine until after i put on the camber kit. I think i may have the car high enough that it would not matter to much for me to pull off the camber kit for the winter. Oh, also if i did upgrade the brake booster, which would be a good one to choose. I likes to have GREAT brakes.
Thanks,
Matt
