serious brake upgrade for serious power
Ok, I've read post after post about various brake upgrade that can be done to Accords using V6 rotors, NSX/legend calipers, etc. I have a 97 Accord and I'll be pushing close to 300HP to the wheels within a month, so I need a brake upgrade. I still have my stock setup. Is this "Honda parts" brake upgrade going to have enough stopping power for me? If not, what kinda upgrade do I need?
unless you plan on road coursing your **** then uprgraded stock while stop you at the track. The 11.2 upgrade is more than enough due to the twin piston caliper set up. I will be putting down 250 to the wheels, and i have upgraded stock. so youll be ok
use the following:
-legend two piston callipers from a 94 or 95 legend gs sedan
-accord v6 rotors (from a 95-97) from brembo or some other name of your choosing
-accord v6 (again from 95-97) calliper brackets
-axxis ultimate pads (perfect for every situation imaginable from track to daily driving)
-a good set of tires that will help stop you in a tight situation...
i have all of the forementioned and it feels great...i recomend it to anyone wanting an inexpensive brake modification....it's definitely worth the $400-500 in parts...and it's definitely for just about any power level that you could want out of an accord...
