Now I don't mean to **** anybody off as I know many people here are die hard honda fans but I'm just curious if anyone knows of a v8 or some other big non-honda motor being put into a civic, teg, etc.. Thanks

My H22A CRX was built at my buddies house where he stuffed a carbed V8 450+ hp motor into a newer S10. We'd joked around about putting a V8 into a beat up old Honda wagon he had but nothing came of it. it would be a pretty dum idea.. even if it was just for ***** and giggles.

The engine would stick out of the hood big time and the firewall/floor would have to be totaly rebuilt for the tranny. The car would be an expensive, stupid looking POS that took months to build.

But whatever.. there are some nutcases out there...

I remember seeing on the boards a while back where someone had pics of a '92 or so accord with a V8 in it... maybe do some searches and see what you come up with.

MAYBE you should NOT put a torgue monster in a unibody.

then again you'll need to custom fabricate so much **** that you might as well just build a tube chassis and a shel, in which case the only thing honda is the shift **** and the badge on the trunk

Yes, its been done in old accords, only a couple times if im not mistaken.

but doing it in a FWD car is a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY.

IMO if you want a SBC motor just get a domestic.
