ive seen these available for the crx/efs but are they any manfactured one that you can buy? i can only imagine how much weight it would take off. and if not then how hard would it be to make one? just a shot in the dark here but would just need some CF cut to size sealant and a way of securing it down? or would it be more dollar per pound affective to just weld in a sheet of aluminum? thanks!

 

if you own a 4th gen satan_srv should hav a cf sunroof ready in a month.

 

well if you just wan an insert I think someone was working on one of those...mine would be an OEM replacement but it would be applicable as a plug as well I would think

 

Would the sunroof still work if the CF insert was used?

 

There is a post on PO that says raceplates.com will make one for the 4gen, cost is outrageous for a plug though.

That's what I was thinking of. How much were they asking?

 

~$350 USD for the kit.

no the idea is to remove the entire sunroof then cover it and seal with a sheet of CF, dropping +50lbs from the highest point on the car

 

would definitely be a good idea to get one. 350 seems steep, i'd settle for a fiberglas one.
