Default Engine swap question

I have a 1989 civic dx and want to do an engine swap. Which is the most cost effective. I eventually want to add a turbo or SC. I also plan to do the swap myself and purchase the motor mount kit and wiring conversion kit. Please help.

Hit me up if you need any help with your swap. Read up the HASport/HCP/Hybrid sites too, if you havn't already done so. As for which engine,

B18c - Hands down the way to go, IF you can afford it
B18a - Go with this if your just looking for more in-and-out-of-traffic type of power
B16a - Much more fun that the B18a if you plan on beating on it

All depends. . . this a daily driver?

If you have the money, go B18C, if not, gen. 1 B16. B18As are overrated.
