h22a 93 accord short shit mod
i did the mod and cut down the shifter a couple inches, at first it was fine but now it is very hard to shift into gears and grinds sometimes even with clutch pushed to the floor, is it the tranny or the cable bent or at the new height does it not shift into the gears properly???
thanks
thanks
i would say the tranny or the clutch is going bad....cuting the shifter has nothing to do with moving the cables it just makes the throw a little shorter for u.
thats wut i was thinking, but it happened a day after i cut the shifter and was a sudden thing, it didnt gradually get harder to shift, it just started out of nowhere, but at idle or with the car off it shifts fine, but while moving it doesnt want to go into gear
Does the clutch pedal feel the same when you depress it? Check your clutch fluid reservoir to see if there is a good amount of fluid in there to determine if it's leaking. If it not at the same level, you are losing pressure and that will make it harder to shift. There might be something wrong your clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, a crimp in your hard clutch line or just a leak inbetween the connections.
no the pressure is the same, ill have to check the fluid levels, but its pretty much fine when its cold, but once the engine warms up then it gets hard, also, at idle its fine but while moving its hard with my foot on the clutch and rpms at 750 while going 60
