Yo this car is hot but i don't know jack about it, does anyone? And why does it look so similiar to Focus.

 

I read in motor trend about the new cars coming out and it has the civic si hatchback listed at 160 for hp, and suppose to be listed under 18k.

 

the CTR has the same engine as the RSX-S

so power will be the same.

 

I thought it would have around 200hp, like the new RSX-type S.

 

the si only has 160 the type R gets the 200, I doubt we'll get the R over here though

 

looks like we get the shorter end of the stick as usual.

Hey, just be greatful we're even getting the Si...

Originally, we weren't supposed to get anything "sporty" beyond the EX Coupe. If you recall, the US wasn't even supposed to get a hatch anymore because of slow sales (remember, Honda marketers need to appeal to 90% of the buyers, mostly people who view the civic as a small family car or general commuter). Luckily, the British (and Europeans in general) love hatches so... viola! The new Civic Si.

It will feature base RSX running gear... no Type-S equipment. But think about, the Si will likely be selling for $18 - $19K. You can't buy an RSX for under $20K. If there were to be a CTR, that would price it in the same league as the RSX. Honda is not about crossover products (unlike GM) so we should be happy with what we're getting.
