Default Defrost not working properly

Our daughter's Standard transmission 1992 Integra RS' defrost system doesn't seem to work properly. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have you checked the fuses? That could be it.

Dear Gatecrasher:
The defrost fan works. There seems to be moisture in the air and it doesn't allow the window to defrost properly.

turn on the a/c when you turn on the defrost as well. that will get rid of the moisture.

Yeah, Integras are a little strange that way. Most cars turn on the A/C automatically with the defroster; Tegs don't.

Hit recirculate if you want the moisture to go away quickly. If you still have problems, the A/C system may need a recharge or repair.

Is this a problem with defrosting or defogging?

It hasn't been cold enough yet to use as the defroster but on cool, rainy days the defogging won't work. The fan works and we have cleaned it out but it is has moisture.

that is because you must turn the A/C on as well in order to get rid of the moisture.

Thanks. Will this work even if the A/C isn't working properly?

no. a/c removes moisture. you'll need to get that fixed too.
