Anyone have the Ignition Start buttons??????
I saw one in group buy, but I heard they were nothing like the ones on S2000's, Aston Martin's...etc.
Any of you have a ignition button? Any pics and info on pricing would be grrrreeeeeaaaat!

It cost me Aussie $250 (~US$125) to have my Honda dealer supply and fit/install it....I believe it took just under 2 hours for the 'Auto-Sparky' (auto-electrician) to do.
Before anyone asks - they moved the dash dimmer (from the right-hand side of the steering wheel, to the left), put the button in (fits perfectly), fitted a relay and wired it all up (it is even back lit).

One question. How does that work with the ignition key and clutch?
Do you have to press the clutch, turn the key, then press start button?
Or is it wired so that you dont have to press the clutch at all?
Even though it really looks cool, *personally* if it was clutch-key-button, that'd be just annoying for me. But just my opinion tho.
Btw, that steering wheel is TIGHT!!!
Is that from an S2000 as well? It says SRS, so I guess it's not illegal?
I was thinking of doing that too, if I find a way to wire it so that you don't have to press the clutch at all that is.

I've got an Ignited Start Button... I shorted out my dimmer wires so it was full bightness, tossed the dimmer in the trash, and mounted the start button. Fits Perfect. Took about anhour to do. You have to Clutch, Key, Button to use it... I never use it, just look at it, lol... but it looks sweet. Cost me like $60 on eBay.

You can barely see it, but I put mine where the power mirror controller would go.

I don't have to touch my clutch (before & after having the button installed)....I simply turn the key to 'on/accessories' (where all the dash lights come on) and press the button - VAAAAROOM - she starts almost instantly!

Turning the key past 'on/accessories', does nothing anymore....so would be thieves, could be slowed down (ever so slightly)?!
The steering wheel is 'standard' ITR spec for Australia....he he he....along with our seats, which are also different.

Yes that is a Sun-roof you can see! No it is not a Honda option for the ITR in Australia, rather an after-market 'dealer option'. Yes I know some of you will say having a S/R in an ITR is bad for weight/rigidity, but hey I still drive mine on the race track (like it should be), I like having it and I've had no problems!

$100 for a S2000 start button is WAY too much. I paid $42 for mine over 2 years ago... needed an S2000 VIN also to get it from Honda... weird. But it was very easy to hook up... only needed 3 of the 5 prongs to wire up. Total F1 style

Incorrect nudeman...the 88-89 civics and I believe all the civics before 89 dont have one. you can crank it with out the clutch being pressed down.
