i pay 1700, and drive an LS, its cause you got mad third gear veeetack and because of that its more likely to be jacked by theives, oh yes and you are also 16, do you have the student discount? that would take off like $200 a year

im 19 and my insurance is like 1800 i think, on my GSR. but B16OnTop was correct in saying that the insurance for our GSR's are more expensive cause of the threat of it gettin stolen. plus ur 16...young + inexperienced driver adds to mucho insurance costs.

also what year is ur GSR? it may seem more expensive cause its a newer car...

Mines 1200 a year, with an LS. Living in Arizona. 18 years old.

Ways of making it cheaper? Get a security system. I've heard that insurance companies smile on protected cars. Could knock a couple hundred. And yes, student discounts. Stay in school and get good grades and get an insurance break.

I am told by Allstate that I can get mine down to 950 per year if I maintain a 3.0 and have a car security system installed.

BTW, thats full coverage and towing.

I'm pretty much the same in CA. get an alarm, go to school, stay in school and get a 3.0 for low insurance

I pay $1,400 a year on my 2nd gen LS. Would be cheaper but AAA considers all 2 door compacts to be "sports cars".
