Default intercooler fitment

Hey guys just curious on what kind of modifications you have to do to fit in a intercooler, i am thinking of a starion front mount and keeping the stock front bumper. For those of you using the stock bumper did you have to cut it up at all to make the intercooler fit? How much power can i run before i will have to upgrade the intercooler. The reason i put this in the EF forum and not the FI forum is because i want to get answers from guys with EFs that are boosted. I also tried a search and didnt come up with anything.
