why do you guys cut your front bumper grill?
i noticed alot of people here cut the grill of their front bumper....even though sometimes their intercooler does clear. do you do it to get more air there or make your intercooler more visible? thanks....

I had to cut my grill, but I ended up painting my intercooler black and putting a Grillcraft grill there for both protection and a sleeper look.

I only have that dinky DRAG intercooler, but I still had to cut out the entire grill and remove those metal cylinders from both sides of the bumper, too.
Plus.... it looks hella tite!!!!

I had to do the same on my car too. Except I didn't have any metal cylinders to cut. But 99 front with the DRAG intercooler and I had to get rid of the entire grille. Oh well. I think the DRAG FMIC looks the best in that front end with no grille so i'm happy. If it were a 96-98 front, which I used to have, it would be a different story.

For the same reason you get good looking rims or other cosmetic addition. I like the look of a bling front mount. Heck nobody notices it anyway

agreed. when you have a 31x12x8 you tend to want to show it off. or at least i do.

i dont think it'll block the air going through the fins. people paint them for the sleeper look or theives/cops keep away look. personally i wouldnt paint it but now that cops are being faggets here in cali i might have to.

you know it, plus...it keeps ricers away (well, maybe not...but it CAN be a deterrent to some)

I personally like the stealth look...besides, the rest of the car speaks for itself so I don't need a big intercooler poking out of my my bumper to show my potential

Yeah I had to cut out the entire grill with my drag intercooler on my 98 Integra. I think that it looks tight, but its definately saying "Steal Me, steal me...Pull me over..." . You could have just cut off half of the bracket with a dremel and you'd still be able to mount your turn signals.

Doesn't the "Turbo" sticker 6 inches from the painted IC take away from the Stealth look?
