Default 88 CRX Si Tranny fit 89 block?

I have an 88 CRX Si tranny that I need to put on my car...will it fit...I was told that I have to bolt the clutch and pp to the 89 flywheel and everything else should bolt up...please tell me I'm correct!!!

yeah we swapped my friend's trashed A6 for another A6...but tranny is still good...slight 3rd gear grind and an ACT clutch!!! FOR FREE!!! So i'm gonna put that on this weekend...anything I should look out for that might give me problems? I have never done a tranny swap before.

dont forget the bolt on the starter...that also holds the tranny in place. I always seem to forget that one and then my tranny wont come apart thinking i got all the bolts out

I work for honda, so most of this stuff should not be a problem...as far as the replacement of some of the stuff you all said...this is only temporary...gonna run this for a few months till i can afford a swap.

just started 6 months ago...not a tech, internal advisor...and most of my friends drive EG's and EK's...logically thinking I figured it would work...but wanted to have some solid confirmation before I do this...because it's my daily driver, and I only have 1 day to do it.
