i know some people or going to jump on the reliablity thing but i wanna know what some of you have and how happy you are with either.....I have a 1st gen b16 complete swap and a b18a block just wanting everybodies opions and advice....

 

LS/VTEC it! I love my B16, but torque is your friend.

 

buy the b16 first, then find the ls later. b16's are getting harder to find at a decent price.

LsVtec period. The reliability depends on how well the motor is built. My friend has lsVtec in his ek and no problems so far and its been a year and a half.

 

Do whatever you want.

You know the b18 has more torque and can make more power, but the b16 is no slouch, it's up to your goals and budget.

 

do it with the bsixteeny, fu** it everyone else has why not you? or wait everyone else already has an Ls-v or has gone through one..?

 

Go with the ls-v I have one that is bored .25 over with itr pistons and cams and i beat the **** out of it 8k-9k revs no probs...yet and it has been a while now it screams over just a b16 .... you will be happy w/it.
