A friend of mine took his RSX-S to the track for the first time. He has a little over

4000 miles on it so its broken in. His only mod is a highflow muffler that makes a

lot of noise. His first 3 runs were with 27psi front tires. First run 17.XX don't know

what went wrong, 2nd run 15.2X, 3rd run 15.3X, on his last run he was heated with

his shitty times so he lowerd his front tires to 20psi and removed his intake box

and filter to run a 14.990 with a best 60' time of 2.365 against my 14.851 with a

60' of 2.370 Boy do I have a hard time launching my R. Oh my other runs

were 15.1, 14.9, and 15.0 with horrible 60' times, but I managed to smoke a celica

GT-S, Ford Focus, moded civic coupe. All in all we had a great time.

Damn, thats all they run?! I wanted to get my brother to come to atco with me when I went 2 weeks ago, but he couldnt. I would think they were faster than that. Anyhow, I am totally happy with my runs. Not too bad for an LS powered hatch. My fastest is 14.8 and quickest of 93.25 mph both on street tires. I think maybe a little faster now since I did my own port job on the exhaust, feels like I gained some torque.
Hit me up next time you go down to ATCO, I am always up for meeting people from the board.
By the way, was the Focus a silver one with a K&N filter on it? If so, that guy was there when I was there.

 

I plan to be at atco next thursday, and yes that sure sounds like the same focus.
