Question about the stock intake????(help)

Default Question about the stock intake????(help)

Well i have a question about the stock intake system.......i have a h22.... well here it goes i just got done taking it apart right to pit in a CAI......but i have a question on this device that was next to the bumper were the box of the stock intake... it looks like a a little manifold system.....it was the plastic pipe that ran up to the lighte to get more air or something....it had a open close thingy but i dont know what it is call but it had letters on it say .....G-tec i think...hmmmmmm....well what do i do with that do i put it back and have the filter next to it....iam just lost so if you guys can please help...sorry about the long post......

You seem to be talking about the resonator. Just rip it out follow the small hose from the valve to the small tank just aft of your battery pull it. Then follow the hose from that to the IM and pull it and cover it with a vaccum cap.

na iam talking about 16 that whols boxed area
should i put back the whold 20 and have it still connected

Yeah that's part of the resonator. That's what I was talking about just rip the whole thing out.

If you're installing a CAI, you need to pull out the entire intake assembly - i.e. everything in that picture . . . . if you check out http://www.ntpog.org, they have a good writeup on how to go about removing the resonator assembly.
