Try checking oil level when the engine is cold. Prolly leave it overnight and check the next morning and see if you still have the same oil level.

For a GSR the proper oil level is 4.5 quarts.

4.25 is the correct amount.

Default I thought so.

I just changed my oil for the first time last week. I changed it with 4.3 quarts to be exact as my owners manual specified, and the oil sits halfway between the two marks on the stick.

The distance from the bottom hole to the top is either .5 or .25 L of oil, forgot which one it was

When i change my oil I end up using five quarts and it takes it right up to the top dot. Must be doing a good job of draining it or something or where is it going? LOL...
