Default B16 clutch cable woes

I did this swap into my 89 DX hatchy about a month ago, and I used a 91 Integra clutch cable. The clutch has no more than 30K miles on it. Everything ran good until today, when I wanted my pedal to bite a little closer to the floor. I still had about 1/4 of the threads remaining on my adjuster before it ran out. I ended up turning it all the way clockwise until the threads ran out, and now my clutch pedal doesn't engage until it is almost totally released.

I just tried taking the bracket off and putting washers underneath it, but it did not improve it much at all. I was going to try to put the old cable back on it, but just comparing the two it would only have made it worse. Someone tell me whats wrong please!
