Default k20a3 bottom end buildup

ok, i have done some research on this but still can't find definite answers. here's the deal: i want to build my bottom end to ITR specs so that i can put the ITR/toda head on it. it looks like my crank in my K20A3 is the same as in the K20A, aside from the micropolishing and balancing, which i would have done when i take it out. so it sounds like i will be able to keep the stock crank and i will just have to polish it and have it balanced, but i still can't find an answer on the connecting rods.
Are the connecting rods on teh K20A3 the same as the ones on the K20A? I know for a fact i need the pistons, but i would like to know if i am going to have to buy the rods as well, thank you very much for any help.

If the journals are not the same, than the rods are not the same.

If you're taking it all out to do the labor and buildup, doesnt it cost less to sell it all and get an ITR block/head for the same trouble?

A3 crank = partially counterweighted, 4
A2 crank = fully counterweighted, 8
