AFC?? FPR?
Not really bad for your engine, but makes your engine run lean. Which pretty much means too much oxygen flowing, not enough combustion - gas. A FPR allows you to up or down the amount of gas into engine, also same with a AFC, yet AFC allows other functions such as vtec controller - if I am not mistaken. It would be a good idea to get a AFC and mess around with it on a dyno. See where the best power comes from. Hope this helps. I would say for sure to get an Apexi AFC if you have intake, header, and cat-back exhaust. You want your engine to run rich, otherwise you might be losing performance...
The ECU will compensate for the extra air to an extent via the O2 sensor and OBDII. I don't think you need an AFC for just I/E/H. Unless you want one to tune with, but it will be more useful with more mods, such as larger injectors for example, where some kind of fuel control is needed.

So the AFC and the FPR is basically the same thing??
