I own a 99' LS I currently have a DC Intake + Header running with an Apexi WS catback exhaust.

I want to know if an LS can be turned into a VTEC and how... I remember hearing of something like this a while ago.. Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated.

 

yes it can. Be willing to spend around 2-3k if u want a reliable setup. However if u do the conversions you will have a quick ls able to burn gsrs.

 

you can use the the vtec heads. you will need to run an oil feed line, the complete vtec head w/ distributor and ecu.

 

I finishing my ls/vtec setup for FI. It can be done, but unless you want to stay allmotor, I wouldn't bother with it. Email or IM if you got any questions.

 

If you want to go LS/Vtec conversion, let a professional do it. I mean a shop where they have done this conversion a million times.
Don't expect to rev beyond 8000 too. Keep it blow eight grand.
And yes, you can beat stock GSR's.

I've heard of dynos that go from 160~180...even 190. But I believe thats with other aftermarket parts.
