a few of my friends told me to upgrade my injectors to either prelude or 92-96 eclipse. i only have a Vortech 12:1 fmu and stock everything @6psi. i'm still waiting to find a good inline fuel pump too. if anyone can help me out on what to do for my fuel setup so that i can maybe boost to 8psi safely. and where can i find these injectors. also this question is out of the topic but, is it bad to have a 2.5" downpipe going into a 2.25 cat-back exhaust? do i have to upgrade or just leave it alone for now?

Personally I would use the GSX injectors, they are a higher flow rate than the prelude. With the fuel pump, I have an XS Engineering inline pump, very nice IMO. The exhaust thing is not a problem, just later down the line you should upgrade to a FULL 3" exhaust, you will notice faster spool-up from your tubo.

 

what car/engine/ecu do you have?

 

I have prelude injectors off of my 93 Vtec prelude and also the resistor pack if you decide to go that way.

 

some say that i would need the newer model ludes, but what cc's do they put out? someone said that the DSM's put out around 420cc is that true? i have a custom T25 that i pieced together and so far have just the Vortech 12:1 fmu. i'm still searching for which inline fuel pump to go w/ and of course what injectors to get so i can maintain 8psi daily. if i go w/ the dsm's injectors will i need a V-AFC to tune it down? please give me some suggestions. and where can i get a hold of a set and how much?

 

I cant remeber the exact specs for the preludes but i do know that the 4th gens (93-96) have bigger injectors than the 5th. I think they are 320's

 

You can not use the GSX injectors if they are 420cc with out a stand alone or really good fuel controller.

I think the prelude injectors would be a much better solution for you then the GSX injectors.

FYI, DSM injectors are 450cc.

 

I got a set of used prelude injectors i'll sell ya for cheap. 85 shipped. im me if you're interested.

 

people are telling me to get the newer model preludes like 98-up. is it around 270-290cc? please if any has a set willing to sell hit me up. thanks

the 5th gen prelude (1997+) uses 290cc saturated injectors
the 4th gen prelude (1993-1996 in the u.s.) uses 320cc peak and hold injectors.
