Bingo! Go check by the header between the exhaust pipe. Oil leak can be there, burning oil, causing white smoke, check oil return line, head gasket, head disp cap for any oil leak.

If it smells a little sweet it's coolant. If the smoke has a blue tint it's the oil.

this is a little off topic but how much boost u running on ur stock ITR. I'm about to boost mine but I thought the compression was too high to boost it.

Did I read that correctly? No intercooler? Untuned?
It's too hard to guess where the smoke is coming from or what is causing it without being able to look at the car.

my idle also bounces up and down when the cars cool it s fine when i warms up it ready to stall. i thought it was a vacume leak but after a weekend of trying to find that leak i have given up. the manifold als oget extreemly hot as soon as i turn on the car. the smoke normally comes after the car trys to boost. if anyone can help i would be very thankful.

That's a good idea.

Wait until you can do the thing right, ie. properly tuning it and buying a nice intercooler.

Check all ur lines and hoses 2 make sure they r on tight (for the smoke problem). U might have bent a rod(for the idle problem) but only runnin 5 lbs of boost, it would b odd.

Check your pcv valve..........often time you can have oil leak from there and not even know it. It will drip down and take a while to burn off. Just a suggestion, if its so bad you can smell it though thats probably not it.
