I've been searching for info on mpfi swap. I've heard from tons of people saying that all you need is complete manifold, dist, ecu, and resistor box.
I went to a new import shop in town, they do all the labor work, and i asked about mpfi swap and all the mechanics there were sayin that i need to change the fuel tank because stock dpfi engine wont return right amount of fuel (wasnt paying attention) so you would have to get si fuel lines or somethin that required them to drop the gas tank. Is this true? or are they just trying to make more money?
if it's true, what would i need for mpfi swap? Thanks and i did search but i MIGHT have missed one that had this info but im pretty sure i didnt but let me know. Thanks for any replies

A new fuel pump? First time I've heard of this. My friend is running an OBD-I Type R engine into the low 13's on an HF pump, and it's still going strong!</TD></TR></TABLE>
Now i have heard of people having issues with fuel supply from the stock fuel pumps on B16's and c5's......At some point an upgrade can only help........MPFI is def not worthy of a fuel pump or fuel tank upgrade.

True, but that's only when the pump is about to take a dump. Stock lph is adequate when functioning properly. You can also increase voltage to pump to increase flow rate (at the cost of longevity, I would think).
EDIT:I played it safe and I'm running a Walbro 190lph.

don't listen to those guys man, they just pay jessy to do the conversion for them any ways. you should talk to him direct.
and no you don't need a new tank. hahaha.......

Can you be a little more specific?? What ECU would I need? What other stuff would I need to make this work on my EF2 LX?? Also wouldn't it just be easier to run a MSD external box and coil (and stuff like that?)
Also LPH stands for Litres Per Hour. Nothing more than a flow rate.

The idiots at the shop are thinking about a Mk.1 1984-1987 carbed CRX to Fuel injection swap. You don't need to change anything in the fuel supply system up to the firewall in a 1988-1991 USDM car.
Depends on what motor you are running if you are installing a D16A6 you need a Pm6 ecu. If you need a harness built let me know I build them all the time.
