power streeing removel from eg question

do i keep the fluid in the system or do i run it dry

if you're looping the lines on your steering rack you will want to leave a little bit of fluid in there

you want enough to keep it lubricated, but not so much that you build up pressure in the rack when turning.

I usually remove the lines, and turn the wheel back and forth about 1/4 turn in each direction to spit some fluid out
