i'm looking for the yellow foglights for 96-98 civics, i dunno if theyre JDM or OEM style or what, but i can't find them anywhere, here's a pic of what i'm looking for.



does anyone know where to get these, or how to paint the OEM ones to look like that?

Glass paint from Michaels on some of the clear fogs like that. I wanna say that the square ones were all from Japan, and the US got round ones, but I can't say for sure.

i'm kind of skeptical on painting them, i hear they run hot as hell and i don't want the paint to fade or chip and have to repaint them every couple of months. i'd like to get the ones with a yellow lens, but if not i might just have to nut up and pain some clear ones.

Yeah, I hear that. I was kinda skeptical about painting my bulbs in my cluster (did it before there were any writeups ) becuause I thought they may get too hot for it. If you know who's car that is maybe you could PM him and he would tell ya!! I'd also check good ol ebay for them!

Wow, they could be third party, home-painted clear fogs. And you didnt even tell any place that could get them. BuT tHeY'rE jDm FoGs y0!!!!!!!!

I actually seached most of the places I know, but only found the 92-95 and the 99-00 fog light styles.

The are the factory Honda OEM foglights for 96 - 98 civic's however I have never seen them n yellow. They are for sale all over ebay, for like $100 +shipping, but they are clear. I think the owner of that car might have just painted them, because I have been looking into them as well, and have never seen yellow for sale, only clear. They look good though, but I would rather stay clear myself... good luck

those are actually the JDM fogs, i pmed him along time ago and asked him, he said they are the real thing and he got them along time ago on ebay...
btw his sn is 'civicdxr'

and i just ordered a set of replicas on ebay..they should be here within a few days and im going to paint them..ill post pics when i get them on

Cool, so you can paint them?? The original poster (and myself) were interested if the paint would hold up at the high temps that the lights see.

I love those fogs. I do wonder why honda changed the way the fogs were for the 96-98's. 5th gens and 99-00's have similar style fogs, but 96-98 are way different. Oh well, I'll still rock em when I get them.

Roaringturtle painted his 99-00 oem fogs yellow, so im guessing the paint will hold up since his are still A-OK

but ill post pics as soon as i get mine and get them painted!

i'd like to see yours after they're painted. i found some yellow OEM knockoffs on nopionline.com made by tsudo, but the picture only looked like a clear lens with yellow bulb. i think i'll just save the hassle and paint some clear ones.

the ones on nopi made by tsudo are the ion yellow ones...i think they look butt ugly during the day but at night time they look nice...

my money order got lost in the mail so now i have to track it down so i can resend it to the company thats selling the fogs

i'd like to see more DIY painted foglights. i would like to know if the paint does
hold up to the heat from the foglights.

you can change the bulb to a yellow one, i just like those lights because of the yellow lens.

midiorigreen, I love the way those look!! Awesome job, did you use the Krylon paint, and if so do you have the Krylon part number from the can. Or what brand of paint did you use? Thanks, and again... GREAT JOB!!!!
