just bought a set of rota slips, and i hate the cheezy fake carbon fiber center caps...do any of the honda caps fit in there? anyone else swap rota caps with anything else?

 

I was just looking at them they are like 20 bucks. Is there any fitment issues or something? I could care less about the color If I dont like it Ill just paint them. Maby Ill Just paint the center of my brakes so I wont see the rust.

HX wheel center caps are barely to small.

Ive also heard 98+ Accord SE center caps fit fine. This has been covered, might wanny try a search.

 

why don't you just paint the rota caps?.. when i had rota c8 i just painted all 4 caps flat black, mugen wanna be...

 

i too say paint it flat black, but a member here somehow got them to be silver/polished. forgot who/ how though

 

yeah i painted mine flat black... looks kinda gay on gunmetal wheels. i'm not sure but on one of them, it looks like the rota logo is starting to peel off. i don't know, but maybe that's logo is just a sticker on there. as soon as i take my wheels off, i'm gonna try applying some heat, and peeling that gay logo off so i could just have a plain black center cap. but it might be painted on

 

I always thought they look better witout the center caps!!...so I dont worry much about painting them!!

Yeah, I like my caps for my C8's!

I don't like the look of missing caps. Especially when it's rusted underneath.

 

yep, the do suck I have see some pics where someone modified the stock Honda center caps to fit in there. I always left mine capless

 

all centercaps suck. period.

 

I cry about it everynight in bed before I fall asleep. Seriously.

Ok, not really, but when I got mine (looking at one right now) I decided imediatly that they weren't going on the car and tehy were worthless. I'm sure you could just paint them flat black, or the color of whatever rota wheels you have...

On my car (which was stolen a year ago w/ the slips (one bent, haha sucker theif) I just used some flat black and painted the dust covers in the rear and the axel and axle nut, and it looked better than the "carbon look" center caps.

 

i just got a set of 16inch circuit 8's i didnt get caps with umm.. was wondering which ones would fit myself

 

I'm not 100% sure but i am not sure if the center caps are swapable between rota's... However i only have a limited sample size, 2 sets... one is 16 slips, the other is 17 battle...and they dont swap, could be due to rim size though, but heads up anyways...

 

just pop em out with a hammer.....be careful not to chip the wheels.....wheel looks a lot better with them off

 

hate that rota crap.... i seriously believe that i was one of the first to bring in the honda cap...

Hmm..that rota slipstream looks good with that Honda cap though. !

 

It would look nice if they made a cap and it covered/extended out over the lug nuts. maybe im jsut dreaming, but it looks good in my head

that is a rota slipstream... grey with polished lip... 205/40/16 tires, falken ziex... as far as the center cap goes... i dont really want to say, but me being the one posting... i think it was from a 00 accord... you should just really head onto the junkyard... they way i designate between the cap sizes... its a four finger cap

 

Don't even bother looking at civic center caps, they don't fit, Accord, Prelude maybe.
